If you do want 4K, and you must have UST, then the Vava UST is popular, but it isn't as good of an image as the Optoma. But, it certainly isn't a requirement and 1080p looks VERY good. To get a 4K projector, you have to spend $1,000 or more for entry level DLP and those won't be UST projectors. Yes, there are ambient light rejecting, ultra-short throw (ALR/UST) projection screens on the market. So, you want/must use a fixed frame screen with ultra short throw or you must get a VERY high dollar tab-tensioned screen. Due to the severe projection angle, any imperfections in the screen will cause major image distortion. The same is true when you use a UST (ultra short throw) projector.
You will be able to see any and all imperfections in the wall due to the sharp angle of the flashlight. you can't use a roll up screen.įor the reason why, take a bright flashlight, and go down to the end of a wall, then turn on the flashlight and point it down the surface of the wall.
